Dennis L. Brown, 56, of rural Benton (Sugarloaf Township), died Friday morning, May 12, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville where he had been a patient for the past 3 and a half weeks.

Born August 31, 1960 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of the late Paul E. and Roberta (Smith) Brown.

Dennis was a 1979 graduate of Benton High School.  He had been employed as a machine operator at Kawneer in Bloomsburg.

He had attended the former Brandon United Methodist Church.  Dennis was a life member of the N. R. A.  He was also a member of the United Steelworkers and the North American Hunting Club.

His hobbies included hunting, trapping, puzzles, politics and he was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Surviving, are his three sisters:  Linda J. Long and her husband, Clark, of Bloomsburg; Pamela M. Vincent, Benton and Paula S. Deeter and her husband, John, of Benton.  Also surviving are two nephews:  Derek and Jason and a great niece, Josie.
