Dorothy M. (Kline) Sutton, 90, formerly of Schoolhouse Road, Benton (Sugarloaf Township) died Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 at the Gardens of Orangeville where she had been a resident for the past four months.

Born November 4, 1926 in Shickshinny, she was a daughter of the late William A. Kline and Lucy (Titus) Kline.  She was preceded in death by  her husband, George A. Sutton, on August 9, 1987.

Mrs. Sutton and her late husband owned and operated the Grassmere Novelty Company.  In her younger years, she had been employed in the garment industry and had worked for the former Dockey Shirt Factory in Benton.

Mrs. Sutton was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the former Brandon United Methodist Church.

Her hobbies included gardening, quilting, crocheting, jig saw puzzles and she was an avid reader.

Surviving are her two sons:  Richard (Dick) Sutton and his wife, Christine (Tina) of Moneta, VA; Donald Sutton and his wife, Bonnie, of Bloomsburg;

three grandchildren:  Donna Deeter, Michael Sutton and his wife, Ann Marie; Timothy Sutton and his wife, Amanda; four great grandchildren:  Mason Deeter, Andrew Sutton, Lauren Sutton, and Margot Sutton; two  brothers: Charles Kline and Russell Kline;  two sisters:  Betty Scouten and Nancy Moyer as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son Ronald Sutton, who died December 1, 2016 and by the following siblings:  Arthur Kline, Shirley Derby, Patricia Jones, and William Kline.

Private Graveside Services will be held Wednesday at the convenience of the family at the New Columbus Cemetery with Rev. Jennifer Parks-Snyder, Lightstreet United Methodist Church, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Lightstreet United Methodist Church, 1640 Main Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.
