Elizabeth "Betty" (Dressler) McCahan, 95, of Selinsgrove and formerly of Benton, died early Sunday morning, September 17, 2017 at Brookdale Grayson View Nursing Center, Selinsgrove.

Born August 19, 1922 in Richfield, she was a daughter of the late Grover and Mabel (Reichenbach) Dressler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Kenneth B. "Ken" McCahan, on February 27, 2006.

Mrs. McCahan was a 1942 graduate of Danville High School. She had been employed by Bell Telephone Company for more than 20 years until her retirement in 1979.

While living in the Benton area she had been an active member of the Benton Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.

Surviving are her three sons: Keith E. McCahan and his wife, Lynn, of Wilmington, NC; Duane D. McCahan and his wife, Debbie, of Selinsgrove; Dean E. McCahan and his wife, Debbie, of Riverside. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Greg, Matthew, Tiffany, Carley, Rachael, Lauren, and Katelyn. Also surviving are eleven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a step son, Captain Marlin Eugene McCahan on June 24, 1964 while serving in the Vietnam War. The last member of her immediate family, she was also preceded in death by six brothers: Nevin, Palmer, Charles, Boyd, Reuben and Austin Dressler as well as a sister that died in infancy.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 11 A. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487) with Pastor David I. Bronson, officiating. Burial will be in the Waller Cemetery. Viewing will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 until the time of the Service at 11 at McMichael's.
