June completed her life’s journey peacefully on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, in her 96th year here on earth.
Her wide smile and pleasant nature brought her many friends throughout life. After being widowed in 1975, she was most fortunate to live nearby family and friends near Dayton, Ohio, Cole’s Creek (St. Gabriel’s), Seattle, Wash., Minneapolis, Minn., near Hilton Head Island, S.C. and Raleigh, N. C. No matter where she lived she was very clear on where her heart was–and so always spoke of her dear parents and siblings and growing up on their family farm outside of Rohrsburg.
The outdoors and nature were such a big part of her life. She knew every birds’ call on her daily hikes, and she rejoiced in the seasons, sunsets, lakes, woods, and mountains.
June was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Troy G. and Freda S. Mausteller, of Rohrsburg. She was also preceded in death by her cherished and much missed husband, (William) Bruce Sutliff of Benton.
That family farm must have been a most healthy environment as June’s sisters, Fay Penman, Jean Mosier, and brother Gerald Mausteller, all survive her and are living in the Bloomsburg and Rohrsburg area. She is also survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Rod Dolan, Minneapolis, and Marla and Gary Brown, Raleigh, NC; her grandson, Troy Dolan, Minneapolis; and many nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania.
June would ask you to take a walk in nature as her remembrance.
If you are so moved, her family suggests any memorials be sent to the National Audubon Society–Donation, P.O. Box 97188, Washington, D.C. 2007-7124 or via the internet at action. audubon.org
