To Jim and family:

I am so sorry for your loss. It is actually a heartbroken news for all of Linda’s friends. Linda was a very gentle, loving, care, and pure heart woman. Her pure heart made her an extraordinary woman and she lived a life as Christ our Lord.

She and I visited Detroit Institute of Arts quite a few times. Because of my poor vision and slow reading, Linda always waited patiently for me. Sometimes she even read the descriptions of the art works for me. Linda had a special sense in beauty. Her elegant arrangements of flowers, food, and the tea party were enjoyable. She was a graceful lady.

Linda was Jim’s blessings, her family’s blessings, and she was a blessing to all the people who knew her. We all will miss her dearly.

May the love you shared comfort you. Our thoughts and prayers are always with you.

Ping Ho (Metro Detroit Chinese Alliance Church)

I wanted to write and convey my condolences to Jim, Amy and Jon, and all your relatives...I will always be grateful to Linda and her extension of friendship, care and mentoring over the years that I lived in Detroit, during my studies at WSU, and the times that we could meet up when I visited my mother in Flint, Michigan and had a chance to come to Detroit. I think the last time I came to visit, I remember that Linda had made an apple pie from the tree /trees in her backyard, and I was lucky enough to have arrived right when it came out of the oven. And, of course it was good:-) Another time, I remember that Linda came all the way to Flint to pick up me (and my then 9 month old baby) to take us to Metro airport, so that we had a long catch up during that 90 minute drive. Really glad that she had a chance to come to visit us in London with Amy.

There are many other memories that I have of Linda and her generosity, attention to detail, creativity and sharp mind. I really felt God's love through her actions and will keep Jim, Amy and Jon in my thoughts and prayers. Linda will be missed by so many people, including myself.
