Linda Ann (Hayman) Costello, 69, of Paragon Farm Road, Shickshinny, died peacefully early Tuesday morning April 25th, 2017 at her home. 

Born August 25, 1947 in Nanticoke, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of Phyllis Jean (Cox) Harrison, of Shickshinny and the late Norman Hayman.  She and her husband, James M. "Jim" Costello, would have celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on August 30th. 

Mrs. Costello was a graduate of Northwest Area High School.  She then earned her Bachelor's degree at Penn State University and her Master's degree at Columbia Seminary.  She also graduated from Trinity International University with a Master of Arts degree.

She ministered beside her husband and served her Detroit community for 35 years, including 5 years as a hospital chaplain at the Detroit Medical Center, before returning to her hometown for retirement.

Mrs. Costello attended Stillwater Christian Church.  Her hobbies included reading, gardening, and cooking for friends and family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband and mother, are her two children:  Amy K. McKeever and her husband, Isaac, of the Pittsburgh area and Jon M. Costello and his wife, Ashley, of Norristown.  Also surviving is a brother, Gary Hayman and his wife, Connie, of Huntington Township.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 29th, 2017 at 11 A. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487) with Pastor Scott L. Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the Dodson Cemetery, Southdale.  A Viewing will be held Saturday from 10 A.M until the time of the service at 11 at McMichael's.
