Luigi A. Marsico, 87, of Union Township, Luzerne County, died  Wednesday evening, June 22nd, 2016 at his home following a lengthy illness.   

Born June 12, 1929 in Stigliano, Italy, he was a son of the late Salvatore and Maria (Donnazita) Marsico.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabella (Tucci) Marsico in 2005. 

Mr. Marsico was a businessman and the patriarch of Nino's Pizza of Shickshinny.

He was a member of St. Mary's Church of Berwick.

Surviving are his son, Salvatore A. Marsico and his wife, Kimberly, of Shickshinny; a grandson, Nathan L. Marsico, of Shickshinny; a granddaughter, Nichole Hogan, of Dallas, PA; a grandson, Matthew Verbinski; two great grandchildren, Ariana and Keegan; two sisters: Anna Pasciucco, of Florida; Josephine Latronico, of Italy and a brother, Rocco Marsico, of Italy. 

In addition to his wife, Isabella, he was preceded in death by brothers:  Giovanni Marsico and Giuseppe Marsico and a sister, Caterina DiFato.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 A. M. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 1730 Fowler Avenue, Berwick, with Father Francis J. Tamburro, his Pastor, as Celebrant.  Burial will be in the New Columbus Cemetery.  A Viewing will be held Saturday from 10 AM until 10:45 at St. Mary's.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, P. O.
