Madge Inez (Kline) Hinchcliffe, 82, of Church Street, Benton, died early Friday morning, September 9, 2016 at the home of her daughter, Carol Lore, in Benton Township.

Born February 24, 1934 in the same house in Benton that she spent her childhood and later years in, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Irene (McHenry) Kline.

Madge attended Benton Area Schools and had been employed as a Stanley Home Products Dealer for many years. She had also worked for the former Benton Pharmacy and for Grants Department Store and K-Mart, both in Bloomsburg.

She was a member of Benton Christian Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star.

Madge enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida and Arizona with her daughter and family. She loved the beach and camping and also enjoyed playing pinochle and cards with her friends and family. She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for the pies that she baked.

Surviving are her two daughters: Nancy L. Fricke and her husband, Bill; Carol A. Lore and her companion, Bob Puterbaugh, all of Benton; granddaughters: Cheryl Fry and her husband, Randy, of Danville; Crystal Woodruff and her husband, Brian, of Bloomsburg; Michelle Hess and her husband, Nate, of Benton; Melanie Miller and her fiancé, Lester Boudman, of Benton; grandsons: Eric Fricke, of Santa Fe, NM; Mark Fenstermacher and his wife, Jaime, of Epping, NH; six great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Kline of Vero Beach, FL; a nephew, Charles Kline, Jr. and two nieces, Debbie Crapser and Kathy Hackenberg.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Hamilton in 2011 and by a grandson, Christopher Miller in 2002.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc, Benton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Building Fund of Benton Christian Church, P. O. Box 264, Benton, PA 17814. Condolences may be sent to the family at P. O.
