Mary P. (Chonko) Plasson, 88, formerly of Wapwallopen, died Wednesday evening, May 17th, 2017 at the Bonham Nursing Center, Huntington Township where she had been a resident since 2010.

Born May 29, 1928 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Caplin) Chonko.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis M. Plasson, on February 4, 2013. 

Mrs. Plasson was a graduate of Coughlin High School and had been employed by Roth American Toy Company in Wilkes-Barre where she was in charge of shipping and receiving and was secretary to the President. 

She was a member of the Russian Orthodox Church in Wilkes-Barre. 

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews including a nephew, Wayne A. Chonko and his wife, Mary Ann, of Benton. 

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
