Mildred B. (Foust) Winter, 85, of rural Stillwater (Fishing Creek Township), died Sunday morning, August 21st, 2016 at the Orangeville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

Born January 14, 1931 in Harveyville, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Snyder) Foust.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian A. Winter, Jr., on January 13, 2006.

A 1948 graduate of Benton High School, Mrs. Winter was a longtime employee of Dol-Ang Manufacturing in Benton where she worked as a seamstress. 

She enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed observing wildlife and watching football.

Surviving, are her son, John A. Winter and his wife, Ada, of Moore, Oklahoma; twin grandsons: Craig Winter, of Aurora, Colorado and Jeff Winter of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; three great grandchildren:  Sienna Winter, Michael Winter and Brandon Winter; two sisters:  Agnes Winter, of Benton and Sarah Newhart and her husband, Franklin, also of Benton as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her husband, Adrian, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan Winter, on October 18, 1978; three brothers:  Raymond, Joseph and Roy Foust.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, August 25th, 2016 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton, with Pastor Scott L. Lyons, officiating.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Fishing Creek Township.  At the request of the deceased there will be no public viewing.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the National Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, 2600 Network Blvd., Suite 300, Frisco, TX  75034  (www.nbcf.org/donate).
