Mollie D. (DeTro) Hough, 76, of Orangeville, died Friday afternoon, October 20th, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville where she had been a patient for one day.

Born May 24, 1941 in Warwick, NY, she was a daughter of the late Robert Cecil DeTro and Nellie Mae (Talmadge) DeTro.  She and her husband, Robert L. Hough, celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary on July 11th.

Mrs. Hough grew up in Hamburg, New Jersey and was Valedictorian of her high school class at Hamburg High School.  She was also a graduate of Montclair State College in New Jersey.

Early in her career, she was a home economics teacher as well as a proud hardworking farm wife.  She was also a substitute school teacher and was later employed by the Central Columbia Middle School in the cafeteria.  She also enjoyed working at the Bloomsburg Fair for many years.

Mrs. Hough was a member of the Orangeville United Methodist Church.

She was an avid reader.  She very much enjoyed being a homemaker and spending time with her family.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Robert, are her three children;  Robin M. McCourt and her husband, Ray, of Cambra; Pamela C. Karnes and her husband, Kevin, of Orangeville; Robert H. "Bobby" Hough and his wife, Candace, of Danville.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren:  Alexa, Lacey, Denver, Christopher, Jonathan, Cecelia and Jillian.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Decker.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 at 11 AM at the Orangeville United Methodist Church, 402 Mill Street, Orangeville, with the Rev. Ellen B. Scamahorn, her Pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Fishing Creek Township.  A Viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6:30 until 8 PM at the Church and also Wednesday morning from 10 AM until the time of the Service at 11 at the Church in Orangeville.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Danville S.
