Patricia M. "Pat" (McHenry) Houseweart, 68, of Dotyville Road, Benton, died early Tuesday morning, May 16, 2017 at her home.  She had been in ill health for several months.

Born July 17, 1948 in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late William S. McHenry, who died February 6, 2010 and Mary (Ball) McHenry, who died October 12, 1995.  She and her husband, Gerald W. "Jerk" Houseweart, would have celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on July 30th.

Pat was a 1966 graduate of Benton High School.  She had been employed by Berwick Industries for 15 years and later for Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.

She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Benton and was a life member of the Benton V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary.  She had also  belonged to a ladies golf league in Berwick for several years.

Her hobbies included ceramics, gardening, especially her flowers; hummingbirds and she very much enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Gerald "Jerk", are her two sons: 

Gerald W. "Jerry" Houseweart, II and Thomas W. Houseweart, Benton; two grandchildren:  Jonathan Hunter Houseweart and Nikki Rose Houseweart. 

Also surviving are her three brothers:  Dennis D. McHenry and his wife, Judy, of Benton; William H. McHenry, of Benton and Michael W. McHenry and his wife, Cindy, of Berwick.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Arthur Houseweart, II in 1967.

Private burial will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Geisinger  Columbia Montour Hospice, 410 Glenn Ave., Suite 200, Bloomsburg, PA 17815.   Arrangements are under the direction of the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Benton.
