Sarah R. "Sally" (Evans) Seibert, 82, of Camp Lavigne Road, Benton, died early Friday morning, January 12, 2018 at the Mountaintop Healthcare and Rehabilitation Home in Mountaintop where she had been a resident for the past week.
Born June 13, 1935 in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Scott) Evans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles H. Seibert, on September 4, 2004.
Mrs. Seibert attended the former Stillwater School and then graduated from Benton High School in 1954. She worked as a nurse's aide at the Friends Hospital in Philadelphia and at the former Char-Mund Nursing Home in Orangeville. She had also worked as a cook at the Brass Pelican Restaurant in Elk Grove and was a care-giver for the elderly.
She was a member of the Hamline Church Fellowship of Benton. She was a former member of the Sugarloaf Ambulance Association and was one of their first EMT's. She was also a member of the Sugarloaf Ladies Auxiliary.
Her hobbies included reading, sewing and taking walks.
She was the last member of her immediate family and is survived by nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, along with her parents and husband, are her siblings: Margaretta Hess, Delilah Kocher, Anna "Betsy" Sheridan, John F. Evans and Winifred Cole.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 2 P. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487) with Pastor Paul Gurba, her Pastor, officiating. Viewing, Thursday, from 1 PM until the time of the service at 2:00. Burial will be at the convenience of the Family.
