William G. "Bill" Lenhart, 66, of Benton, died Wednesday morning, March 22nd, 2017. He had been in declining health for the past several years.
Born July 26, 1950 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, he was a son of the late William and Mildred Mary (Ohl) Lenhart.
Mr. Lenhart was a 1968 graduate of Bloomsburg High School and then faithfully served his country in the U. S. Navy.
In his younger years he was employed by the Bloomsburg Hospital and later for Bloomsburg Electric and then later for Friedman Electric Supply Company. He last worked for the Illuminations Corp.
He was an active member of Benton Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He was also a member and Past Master of Oriental Lodge No. 460, F. & A.M. of Orangeville where he was a past master.
Mr. Lenhart was a history buff and was an avid reader and also enjoyed quilting. Years ago, he was also an actor and a volunteer for Bloomsburg Theater Ensemble.
Surviving are his children: Sarah E. Wilson and her husband, Jeffrey Wilson, Jr., of Bloomsburg; Seth G. Lenhart and his wife, Nicole, of Nescopeck and R. Tanner Lenhart, Benton.
Also surviving are his granddaughter, Adrianna, as well as three other grandchildren and a sister, Paige O'Hare and her husband, Edward, of Hermitage, PA.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Ebner.
Memorial Services and Masonic services will be held Saturday, April 15th, 2017 at 11 A. M. at the Benton Christian Church, Third and Church Streets, Benton with the Rev. Dr. David A. Mansfield, his pastor, officiating. There will be a visitation from 10 AM until the time of the service at the Church.
