Dennis E. Ribble, 74, of Scott Township and formerly of Benton and Stillwater, was called home to Christ on Tuesday morning, March 26, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born November 1, 1949 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of the late Paul Eugene Ribble, who died May 19, 2012 and Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Creveling) Ribble, who died October 2, 2007. He and his wife, Sharon L. (Everitt) Ribble, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on March 2nd.
Dennis was a 1967 graduate of Benton High School. After graduation, Dennis faithfully served his country in the U. S. Air Force from July 3, 1968 to June 30, 1972. He then earned his Associate Degree from Williamsport Area Community College. After he earned his degree, he was employed with Berwick Hospital as head electrician of the Maintenance Department. After leaving the Berwick Hospital, Dennis continued his career as a relay technician with PP&L at the nuclear power plant until his retirement.
Dennis loved God and his country and instilled this love to those surrounding him. He also had a great love for music, planes and working with his hands. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Sharon, are his three daughters: Tanya Ribble, of Bloomsburg; Kimberly Getz and her husband, Jason, of Ashland; Erin DiLoretto and her husband, Matthew, of Indian Head, MD; five grandsons: Riley, Alek, Brayden, Elliott and Gabriel; two brothers: Dean E. Ribble and his wife, Beverly, rural Orangeville, and Donald E. Ribble and his wife, Edye, of Stillwater.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 30th, 2024 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (Rt. 487) with Pastor Scott L. Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Stillwater Cemetery with full military honors. A Viewing will be held Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the Service at 11 AM at McMichael's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023 or the American Heart Association, 4250 Crums Mill Road, Harrisburg, PA 17112.
