Lucille Biehl Obituary

Lucille Mae (Minnich) Biehl, 83, died Tuesday, March  26, 2024 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born August 8, 1940 in Allentown, Lehigh County, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Robert Minnich and Evelyn Emeline (Fox) Minnich.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Biehl, who died on June 1, 2006.

Mrs. Biehl was a 1958 graduate of Brandywine High School in Topton, PA.

She was a member of the Salem Bible Church in Macungie, PA and was a Sunday School teacher for 60 years.

Her hobbies included gardening, crafts, needlepoint, crocheting, quilting, and hiking.  

Surviving are her two children: Cynthia L. Beehner and her companion, Greg, of Benton, PA; Joel S. Biehl and his wife, Linda, of St. Charles, Missouri; three grandchildren: Sara Haughton and her husband, Nathan; Joshua Beehner and his wife Arielle; and Jennie Connally and her husband, Harper; one great-grandson, Dean Ryker Beehner; a sister, Jan Hixon and her husband Lloyd, of Newman, Georgia; a brother, Kerry Minnich and his wife, Jane, of Kutztown, PA; and her brother-in-law, Larry Biehl and his wife, Shirley, of Honey Brook, PA. 

Along with her husband, Richard, and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Carol Turan.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Bible Baptist Church of Benton, 250 Shickshinny Road, Benton, with the Rev. Paul S. Moseley, Sr., officiating.  Burial will be in the Berks County Memorial Gardens, West Reading.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, 2595 Interstate Drive, Suite, 100, Harrisburg, PA   17110.
