Barbara J. (Keller) Remley, 78, of Bloomsburg and formerly of
Benton, died Monday, October 14, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been a patient since Tuesday, October 8th.
Born March 24, 1941 in Greenwood Township, she was a daughter of the late Doris (Rhone) Conner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard L. "Butch" Remley, on April 26, 2013.
Mrs. Remley attended Benton Schools. She had worked as a unit clerk at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville in various departments for more than 30 years.
She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for her home-style meals, baked goods and gardening.
Surviving are her two children: Debra R. Shade and her husband, Jack Devine, Jr., of Bloomsburg and Kirby R. Smith and his wife, Tonya, of Bloomsburg; two grandchildren: Alexander Brong and Aaron Smith and a great grandson, Maxwell Brong.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 17th, 2019, at 2 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R.487) with Pastor Bob Hess, officiating. Burial will be in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy. A viewing will be held Thursday from 1 PM until the time of the service at 2:00 on Thursday at McMichael's.
