Claude C. Ipher, 71, of Fishing Creek Township, died early Saturday
morning, November 10, 2018.
Born March 2, 1947 in Berwick, he was a son of the late Harold and
Dorothy (Shultz) Ipher. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Glenda
R. (Steinruck) Ipher, on November 21, 1994.
Mr. Ipher was a graduate of West Hazleton High School in 1966 and also
attended West Side Technical School.
He was employed by Stroehmann Bakeries as a truck driver and also was a
milk truck driver. He had also worked for the former Country Maid Sports
Wear in Berwick.
Mr. Ipher was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, the Moose
Lodge and the NRA.
Surviving are his two daughters: Jana J. Eshleman and her husband, Duane,
of Benton; Heidi J. Ipher, also of Benton; four grandchildren: Alissa, D.J.,
Kaden and Kolby; his siblings: Linda Ipher, of Stillwater; Esther Brothers
of Burleson, Texas; Bonnie Verbyla and her husband, Luke, of Benton;
Floyd Ipher and his wife, Noelle, of Avoca as well as a number of nieces and
nephews.
Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother,
William Ipher, on August 19, 2016.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 at 11 AM
at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, (S. R. 487)
Benton. The Rev. Mark Rowell, will officiate. Burial will be in St. James
Cemetery, Fishing Creek Township.
