Dr. Bryan C. Wenner

Dr. Bryan C. Wenner, 48, of Florence, South Carolina and formerly of Benton, died Saturday, August 3rd, 2019 at his home in South Carolina.  Born September 2nd, 1970 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of Judy (Graham) Wenner, of Benton and the late Larry A. Wenner, who died February 22nd, 1994.

Bryan was a 1989 graduate of Benton High School and a 1994 graduate of Lock Haven University. Following his graduation from college he taught school in Gainesville, Georgia for a few years and then attended and graduated from Life College, Atlanta where he earned his chiropractic degree. He owned and operated Palmetto ChiroMed in Florence, South Carolina since 2003. Bryan was also a part owner of the Birds Nest Restaurant in Florence. He served as the chiropractor for the local professional hockey team in Florence for several years.

In his younger years, he was a member of the Benton United Methodist Church. He was active in the community in Florence and was a member of the Florence Chamber of Commerce as well as various professional organizations.

Bryan was a very talented athlete; he won a state title in wrestling, was an All-State soccer player and set many records in baseball.  He was an avid golfer and had coached soccer and wrestling while teaching school in Gainesville. He also enjoyed hunting in his younger years and had an appreciation for animals.

Surviving in addition to his mother, Judy, are his two brothers: Richard "Rick" Wenner and his wife, Lisa; Michael G. Wenner and his wife, Saundi; Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Tyler, Chelsea, Vanessa, Savanna and Aidan as well as an uncle, David Wenner.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with burial in St. James Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Animal Resource Center, P O Box 439, Bloomsburg, PA  17815 or the S. P. C. A., 1467 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821.
