Eleanor G. "Ellie" (Driesbaugh) Moss, 83, of rural Benton, Sugarloaf Township, died Monday evening, May 13th, 2019 at Bonham Nursing Center, where she had been a resident since March.
Born September 22, 1935 in Dalton, Lackawanna County, she was a daughter of the late Elmer E. and Harriet Driesbaugh.
Ellie had worked as a seamstress at the former Dol-Ang Manufacturing in Benton for many years.
Her hobbies included sewing, crafts and gardening. Years ago, she volunteered as a den mother for the Cub Scouts in Benton.
Surviving, are her husband, Harold W. Moss; two sons: Scott A. Stevens; Eric D. Stevens and his wife, Amy, all of Benton; three grandchildren: Cole Stevens, Karla Haile and Corey Hutchinson; a great grandson, Braylon Conner Hutchinson; three great granddaughters: Lexy Lee Hutchinson, Ella Rose Haile, Charlotte Elizabeth Haile; two sisters: Della Martin, of West VA and Jean Davies, of Tunkhannock and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Stevens on August 30, 1974 and by the following siblings: William, Daniel and Elmer Driesbaugh and Maybelle McNamara.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 16th, 2019 at 1 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487) with Pastor Jeff Farley of the Stillwater Christian Church, officiating. Private burial will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery.
