Elizabeth "Betty" (Duncan) Kilczewski, 79, of rural Benton (Fairmount Township) died Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Bonham Nursing Center, where she had been a resident since September 11th.
Born September 26, 1938 in Rutland, Vermont, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth G. and Mary (Sabotka) Duncan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Roy A. Kilczewski, on February 17, 2017.
Mrs. Kilczewski was a 1956 graduate of Rutland High School in Vermont. Following her graduation, she moved to Philadelphia where she lived until moving to the Benton area in 1973.
She attended St. Martha's Church, Fairmount Springs. Her hobbies included quilting, puzzles, playing Bingo, but she especially enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her son, Steven Kilczewski and his wife, Marjorie, of Belcamp, Maryland; four grandchildren; Kevin Hess, Brett Kilczewski and his wife, Kiersten; Jacob Kilczewski and his wife, Ciara, and Lea Kilczewski. Also surviving is a son-in-law, Robert A. Hess, Jr., of Benton; a sister, Joan Heath and a brother, Robert Duncan, both of Vermont.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Deborah Ann Hess, on May 17, 2014 as well as two brothers: William and Donald Duncan.
Services will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487) with Father Richard J. Mowery, officiating. A Visitation will be held Saturday, November 3rd from 10 AM until the time of the Service at 11 at McMichael's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the St. Martha's Church, 260 Bonnieville Road, Stillwater, PA 17878 or to Christ the King Church, P.O. Box 297, Benton, PA 17814.
