Frances C. (Jasler) Pavalonis, 96, of Upper Raven Creek Road, Benton, died early Thursday morning, April 13, 2017 at her home. 

Born January 5, 1921 in Fairmount Springs, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Sophia (Senk) Jasler.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, George Pavalonis, on June 13, 2007.

Mrs. Pavalonis had worked for the former Boston Berry Farms and at a local sewing factory.  She also was a bartender for some local bars for 15 years.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and always had a large garden and strawberry patch. 

She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church in Benton and the Benton Senior Citizens Club.  Her hobbies included playing cards, fishing  and gardening .  She especially enjoyed fishing with her fishing buddy, Ron Yost, of Stillwater. 

Surviving are her two children:  George Pavalonis, Jr., Bloomsburg, and Sophie C. Welsh, of Berwick.  Also surviving are two grandchildren:  Brian DeFebo, of Berwick and Brenda Shepko, of Houston, TX.  Also surviving are three great grandchildren:  Carter, Anthony and Dylon as well as her pet dog, Bella.  She was the last member of her immediate family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at  11  A. M. at Christ The King Catholic Church, Mendenhall Lane, Benton, with Father David Hereshko, her Pastor, as Celebrant.  Burial will be in the Raven Creek Cemetery.  Viewing, Tuesday morning from 9:00 to 10:45 A. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Christ the King Catholic Church, P. O.
