Freeda P. (Robbins) Young, 95, of Waller Road, Benton, died at her home, Saturday morning, November 4, 2017.

Born May 28, 1922 in Greenwood Township, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Robbins and Catherine (Engle) Robbins Brooks.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Joseph L. Young, Sr., on March 19, 1967.       

Mrs. Young attended Millville Schools.  In her younger years prior to her marriage, she worked for the Bloomsburg Woolen Mill.  Later she assisted with the operation of the family farm.

She was proud of the fact that she walked in Berwick's Relay for Life for the past seven years.  She enjoyed her puzzle books and most of all, loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are her four children; Joseph L. Young, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, Bloomsburg; Bonnie Burman, of Mountaintop; Carol Remphrey and her husband, Derl, of Benton; James L. Young and his wife, Linda, of Benton.

Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren and a sister, Nancy Williams and her husband, Dale, of Virginia.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son, John L. Young on May 25, 2016; a daughter, Phyllis "Jeannie" McBride, on Dec. 11, 2009; a grandson, Brian A. Remphrey on July 17, 2016; a great granddaughter, Ashley Reabuck; a great great grandson, Candan Traver; a brother, George Robbins; a sister, Marguerite Parks, a son-in-law, Roy Burman and a daughter-in-law, LuElla Young.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, November 9th, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Benton.  Her son-in-law, Derl Remphrey, will officiate.  Burial will be in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy.  Viewing, Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at McMichael's in Benton. For additional information or for online condolences, please visit:   www.mcmichaelfuneralhome.com
