George "Ed" Boudman

George "Ed" Boudman, Sr.,78, of Karschner Road, Millville, Greenwood Township, died Monday morning, May 8th, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville surrounded by family and friends.

Born September 4, 1938 on Karschner Road, Millville in Greenwood Township, he was a son of the late Lester D. and Lois E. (Karschner) Boudman.  He and his wife, Lily Mae (Houseweart) Boudman, would have celebrated their 34th wedding anniversary on September 17th.

Mr. Boudman had worked for various employers throughout his lifetime in Columbia County and had also owned and operated a restaurant and an excavating business.  His restaurant was known for his homemade rice pudding and buckwheat cakes.

He was a member of the NRA and a former member of the Grange.  His hobbies included hunting, watching John Wayne westerns and spending time with his constant companion, "Snuffles".

Surviving, in addition to his wife, Lily Mae, are his two children: Terry Jo Swartz and her husband, Stephen, of Jerseytown; George E. Boudman, Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Lake Ariel; a step daughter, Shelly Jo Johnson and her husband, William, of Muncy Valley; four grandchildren:  Mindy Hawkins and her husband, Josh; Dustin Swartz and his wife, Cherie; Jarrett Swartz and his wife, Jenna; Kimber Patti and her husband, Matt; nine great grandchildren:  Lauryn, Mason, Chase, Corbin, Brynlee, Brant, Easton, Scout and Olivia and by a brother, Lester "Farmer" Boudman Jr. and his wife, Fran, of Orangeville as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings: Vicky, Pat and June.
