Helen Steinruck Obituary

Helen Elizabeth (Coleman) Steinruck, 99, of Fishing Creek Township, went to be eternally with her Lord on Thursday, February 8th, 2018 at the home of her granddaughter, Mary Jane, on the same farm where she was born on May 31, 1918.

She was a daughter of the late Ray Coleman and Margaret (Knouse) Coleman.  She was married for 52 years to Larue W. Steinruck who went to be with the Lord on February 9, 1992.  Her son, Ted, also went to be with the Lord on November 27, 2013.  Her sister Edith Force also preceded her in death.

Helen was devoted to her Church, her family and her friends.  For many years, she played piano and taught Sunday School at the Stillwater Christian Church.  Helen and her husband would give rides to Church to many people in the Benton area.

She was a lifelong homemaker and assisted on the farm doing chores and running the John Deere tractor on the farm. She enjoyed crocheting, reading her bible, spending time with her grandchildren, visiting her friend, Winifred and sitting on the radiator watching the humming birds out her window.  She will be dearly missed until we see her again in Heaven.

Surviving, are her son Ronny and his wife, Holly, of Benton; a daughter-in-law, Brenda Steinruck, of Benton; her grandchildren: Mary Jane Samsel and her husband, Chuck; Jay Steinruck and his wife, Jennifer; Nathan Steinruck, Kaylee Ann Steinruck and her great grandchildren:  Brittany Samsel, Brianna Samsel, Grace Steinruck and Samantha Steinruck, all of Benton as well as nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 16th, 2018 at 11 AM at the Stillwater Christian Church, 39 McMichael Street, Stillwater, with Pastor Scott L. Lyons, officiating.  Burial will be in the Stillwater Cemetery.  A Viewing will be held Friday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the Church.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to the Stillwater Christian Church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Benton.  For online condolences or for additional information please visit our website: www.mcmichaelfuneralhome.com
