James L. "Jim" Puderbaugh, 76, of rural Benton (Pine Township), died Tuesday evening, January 14th, 2020 at his home.
Born February 24, 1943 in Pine Township, he was a son of the late Glenn C. Puderbaugh, who died in 1989 and Eleanor R. (Kesler) Puderbaugh, who died December 16, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Edna J. (Smith) Puderbaugh, on August 14, 2017.
He attended school in Benton and later in Millville. Jim worked for Milco Industries in Benton in his younger years. He later was employed by TRW/Textron in Danville and then worked as a contractor, owning and operating Puderbaugh Construction. He currently owned and operated Rt. 42 Farm Market.
He was a member of the former Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church of Talmar. He was a member of the International Truck Club and a past member of the Masonic Lodge and the NRA.
Jim enjoyed attending flea markets and auctions and collecting antiques and tractors.
Surviving are his four children: Randy L. Puderbaugh and his wife, Susan, of Mainville; Barry L. Puderbaugh and his wife, Tracie, of Unityville; Dwayne A. Puderbaugh and his wife, Tricia of Hummelstown and Debbie A. Puderbaugh, of Benton. Also surviving are nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a brother, Terry D. Puderbaugh and his wife, Lillian, of Unityville and his companion, Eleanor Minier Dauberman of Unityville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn C. Puderbaugh, who died in 1989 and Eleanor R. (Kesler) Puderbaugh, who died December 16, 2019. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Edna J. (Smith) Puderbaugh, on August 14, 2017.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 20th, 2020 at 11:00 A. M. at the Wesley Chapel Church, Talmar with Pastor Max L. Walters, Jr., of the Lairdsville Faith Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Talmar. A viewing be held Monday morning from 10 A. M. until the time of the service at 11:00 at the Church.
