John C. Carter

September 23, 2017

John C. Carter, 81, of Stillwater, died on September 23, 2017 at Maria Hall in Danville.

Born in Mt. Carmel, he was the son of the late Mae and George Carter.

After graduating from Bloomsburg High School, he proudly served his country in the U. S. After 32 years in the book printing industry, he retired from Bloomsburg Haddon Craftsmen to enjoy his hobbies of music, art, fishing, gardening, building model airplanes for children, and cheering for the Redskins and the Phillies.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kay, Abby (his companion paws), two brothers:  David and Burton; two sisters-in-law:  Beverly (Sam O'Brien) and Gwen (Gordon Schuit); nephews and nieces: David, Karen, Katie, Brian, Burt, and Ingrid, and very special friends:  Nancy, Tim, Hannah, Holly, Timothy, Larry, Bob, Henry, Ken and Janet.
