Kenneth D. "Ken" Remley, 66, of Coal Township and formerly of Benton, died late Friday evening, September 14th, 2018 at the Highlands Healthcare Center, Laporte, where he had been a resident since August.
Born September 10, 1952 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, he was a son of Marian E. (Spencer) Remley, of Benton and the late G. Edward Remley, who died April 23, 1992.
Ken was a 1971 graduate of Benton High School. He was employed by his uncle, E. Lee Remley, of Benton and had also worked several years with his father as a carpenter.
He was a member of the Divide Union Church. He enjoyed tractor pulls, riding motorcycles, car races, bowling and playing cards.
Surviving in addition to his Mother, Marian, are his brother, Donald L. Remley and his wife, Esther, of Benton and a sister, Donna J. Remley, of
Muncy Valley; a nephew, Eric Remley, of Benton; a niece, Kristina Hess, of Bloomsburg and a great niece, Brooke Remley, of Danville.
Along with his father, Ed, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Jeremy T. Remley, on September 19, 2010.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 19th, 2018 at 11 A. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487) with Pastor Scott L. Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Waller Cemetery, Jackson Township. A Viewing will be held Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of the service at 11 at the Funeral Home.
