Laura I. (Comstock) Gould, 82, of Talmar Road, Unityville and formerly of Benton, died Thursday, May 11, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been a patient since Friday.

Born May 26, 1934 in Nanticoke, she was a daughter of the late Arley and Edith (Conrad) Comstock.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Gould, on April 13, 1995.

Mrs. Gould, a longtime Benton resident, was a graduate of Benton High School, Class of 1952.  She had been employed by the former Dockey Shirt Factory and later by Milco Industries in Benton. 

Active in the community, she was a member of the Benton Lions Club, the Benton Women's Club, the Christian Women's Foundation, the Order of Eastern Star and various card clubs.

Her hobbies including playing Bingo and cards and had belonged to three different card clubs.

Surviving are her two children:  Frank A. Gould, of Unityville; Michele A. Charles and her husband, Jay, of Unityville; nine grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Denise Gould, of Ventnor, NJ.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son, Fred Gould; a daughter, Carol Holdren and by a brother, Arthur Comstock.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 17th, 2017 at 10 AM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487) with Pastor Scott L. Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Sugarloaf Township.  A Viewing will be held Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM at McMichael's.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association, 1704 Warren Ave.,  Williamsport, PA 17701.  For online condolences or for additional information, please visit our website:  www.mcmichaelfuneralhome.com
