Lois M. Rhinard, 94, of rural Orangeville, Fishing Creek Township, died Thursday, June 20th, 2019 at Grandview Health Homes, in Danville, where she has been a resident since December 27, 2017.
Born January 29, 1925 in Fishing Creek Township, she was a daughter of the late Hervey and Ethel (Herring) Rhinard.
She was a graduate of the former Orangeville High School and had done domestic work in the local area.
Lois had been a member of the Jackson Baptist Church in her younger years and more recently of Calvary Baptist Church of Bloomsburg. She hosted "Good News Clubs" through Childhood Evangelism, in the neighborhood for many years.
Her hobbies included gardening, growing blueberries and reading. She also enjoyed writing children's stories and story-telling.
Surviving are a niece and three nephews: Kathleen A. "Kathy" Albertson, of Orangeville; David V. Rhinard, of Orangeville; Craig H. Rhinard, of Benton and Michael L. Rhinard, of Boise, Idaho. Also surviving are numerous great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, June 30th, 2019 at 2 P. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487). The Rev. Timothy Smith, Calvary Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Fishing Creek Township. A viewing will be held Sunday, June 30th, from 1 P.
