Nancy J. Fritz, age 80, of Benton, died Monday, June 26, 2017 in the Bonham Nursing Home.  Nancy was born April 3, 1937 in Hemlock Township, Montour County, a daughter of the late Glenn Delong and Bertha Lillian (Clemons) Walters.

        Nancy graduated from the Millville High School in 1955.  For more than 30 years, she was a seamstress at Dockey Shirt Factory of Benton and Milco Industries of Benton and Bloomsburg.

        Nancy was a member of the Benton United Methodist Church where she served as a greeter and participated in church Bible studies.  She was also a member of the Benton Readers Club and the Red Hat Society.  She was an avid card player.

        In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband: William W. "Bill" Fritz on December 5, 2005, a great granddaughter: Hannah Houpt and six brothers: John Walters, LaRue Walters,  Robert Walters, Glenn D. Walters, Jr., William Walters and Franklin Walters.

        Survivors include three children: Randy L. Fritz (Sally Gallup) of Benton, Karla Rosencrance (Howard) of Shickshinny and Rochelle Phillips (Albert) of Greenwood Township; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and three sisters: Dorothy Protasio of Williamsport, Doris Zeisloft and Margaret Stackhouse both of Millville.

        The Fritz family would like to thank everyone at Bonham Nursing Home for the great care and love they provided to their mother.
