Peggy A. (Letteer) Morgan

February 8, 1940 ~ March 16, 2017 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Peggy A. (Letteer) Morgan, 77, of Hemlock Lane, Bloomsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville where she had been a patient since Saturday evening.

Born February 8, 1940 in Stillwater, she was a daughter of the late Jack V. Letteer, who died July 20, 2000 and Josephine V. (Chamberlain) Letteer, who died March 5, 2002. She and her husband, Ronald R. Morgan, would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on May 14th.

Mrs. Morgan was a 1958 graduate of Benton High School.  She began her work career at Milco Industries in Benton and later was employed by the Bloomsburg Milco.  She last worked as a secretary for Bloomsburg Mills where she retired from in 2002.

She was a member of the Shiloh Bible Church in Almedia.

Mrs. Morgan was an avid bowler in her younger years.  She and her husband, Ron, were avid fans of Bloomsburg University sports.  She worked at the Bloomsburg Fair for many years.  She enjoyed being a homemaker and was known for her cooking, baking and canning.  She was known as the "cookie lady" and with Ron's help, made homemade old fashioned raisin filled cookies and sugar cookies each Thanksgiving and Christmas.  One of her biggest joys in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she was very proud of.  She enjoyed traveling to Maryland to visit with them and attend their sporting events.  She and her husband also enjoyed trips to Arizona and Missouri to visit family members.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Ron, are a daughter, Deborah Brown and her husband, Stephen,  two grandchildren;  Morgan and Anders Brown, all of Salisbury, MD.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Ann Morgan on July 5, 2009 and by  sister, Sally A. Meyer, on May 6, 2011.
