Richard L. Balint, 83, of Red Rock and formerly of New Jersey, died early Tuesday morning, November 20, 2018 at the Gardens at Orangeville, where he had been a resident since 2015.
Born February 10, 1935 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Louis and Alice (Wittke) Balint. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Hunt) Balint on January 14, 2014.
Mr. Balint served his country in the U. S. Navy and had been employed by Pan American Airlines as an aircraft mechanic for many years. He retired in the 1990's. During his career at Pan American Airlines he had the opportunity to meet Charles Lindbergh and also met the Beatles on their first trip to the United States at JFK Airport.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed archery and fishing. He especially enjoyed fishing trips to Canada.
Surviving are two sons: Cameron L. Balint and David Balint; a daughter, Bonnie Balint; two grandchildren and a brother, David Balint.
