Richard Edward Port, 82 passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26 at his home in rural Benton (Sugarloaf Township.)
Born October 24, 1936 in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, he was preceded in death by his father, Perry and his mother Melissa. Mr. Port is survived by his loving wife Mary Joan (Croft); daughters, Kelly Jean Port of Philadelphia, Melissa (Roger) Brocious of Benton, PA, Elizabeth (Mark) Kilpatrick of Lancaster, PA; eight loving grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Port was a 1954 graduate of Huntingdon High School and attended the Philadelphia Wireless Institute. He served his country in the United States Air Force.
In his spare time, Richard enjoyed repairing antique clocks and watches, bowling, hiking and was an avid woodworker. Above all, his favorite pastime was watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with his family.
A private family viewing was held at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Benton. Burial will be in Huntingdon, PA.
