Sheila Ann (Haxton) Adams

Sheila Ann (Haxton) Adams, 63, of Benton, died early Friday morning, January 4, 2019 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born March 19, 1955 in Coudersport, Potter County, she was a daughter of June Elizabeth (Kellner) Mead, of Oklahoma and the late Vernon Haxton, Sr., who died in 1987.

Sheila attended schools in Coudersport and Benton.  She had been employed by Milco Industries and Berwick Offray.

Surviving, in addition to her Mother, June, are her two daughters:  Tracy L. Traver and her husband, John, of Millville; Tami S. Adams-Allen and her husband, Steven, of Benton; six grandchildren; Tiffany, Toby, Walker, Jacob, Cody and Damion.  Also surviving are her brothers, Allen Haxton, of Tennessee and Vernon "Bub" Haxton, of Colorado; two sisters:  Diana Webster, of Florida and Fran Jandrew, of Coudersport.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Haxton, Sr. and by her first husband, Maynard Adams and by a niece, Trista M. Haxton.
