Shirley J. (Rinehimer) Ryman, 79, of Ridge Street Bloomsburg and more recently a resident of the Gardens at Millville, died Wednesday morning, July 24th, 2019 at Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital Emergency Room.
Born May 7, 1940 in Slocum, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Margaret (Heller) Rinehimer.
Shirley was a 1958 graduate of Newport Township High School. She had been employed as a secretary by Berwick Hospital and Columbia Montour Home Health Services.
She enjoyed dancing, music and local bands.
Surviving are her two sons: Eugene P. Ryman and his wife, Cathy, of Benton; Jeffry P. Ryman and his wife, Sheree, of Nescopeck; two grandchildren: Zachary and Julia;
a sister, Marjorie Yachimowski, of Nescopeck, her beloved dog, Walter and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Wyatt Ryman; a brother, Clarence Rinehimer; two sisters: Florence Mowery and Myrtle Gurkovich and by her longtime companion, Edward Cole, Sr.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 30th, 2019 at 10 A. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (S. R. 487) with Pastor Matthew Verstraeten, officiating. Burial will be in the Waller Cemetery, Jackson Township.
A viewing will be held Monday from 6 to 8 PM at McMichael's.
