Willard “Bill” Hiscox, died at home in Port St. Lucie, FL on July 11, 2019 with his wife and family by his side. He was 79 years old.
Bill was originally from Benton and graduated from Benton High School in 1957. He attended Bucknell University where he earned a degree in mechanical engineering. After graduation Bill worked for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft to design and test the most advanced military engines. He worked for this company for 36 years in both their East Hartford, CT and West Palm Beach, FL facilities. He retired 22 years ago and spent his time working on his rental apartments, visiting with his family and friends and traveling the world with his wife. Together they visited many countries and enjoyed meeting people of different nationalities and cultures.
He is survived by his wife of thirty years Loretta (Strauch), three children Todd, Tammy, and Steve Hiscox and his wife Lan; three step-children, Scott Lamerand and his wife Suzanne, Mike Lamerand and his wife Tammy, and Wendy Houck and her husband Ken; seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and his sister Betty Weston.
A memorial service will be held October 12, 2019 at Waller Methodist Church at 11 AM with interment at the Waller Cemetery. All are invited to a gathering at the Waller Memorial Hall following the service. Online condolences may be posted at www.mcmichaelfuneralhome.com
