Agnes E. (Raski) Hess

Agnes E. (Raski) Hess, 91, of Benton Township, died Monday, July 21, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born November 24, 1933 in Bloomsburg, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Anna (Boruch) Raski.  She was preceded in death by her  husband of 60 years, William F. "Bill" Hess, on October 3, 2015.

Mrs. Hess was a 1951 graduate of Benton High School and the Wilkes-Barre Business School.  She assisted her husband with the operation of the family farm. 

She was a member of the Benton United Methodist Church. 

Surviving are her three children:  Pamela Tucker and her husband, Ray, of Stillwater; Lisa Hess, of Benton and Steven Hess and his wife, Rhonda, of Benton; three grandchildren:  Dayton Hess and his wife, Britni; Sara Hess and Amanda Tucker.  Also surviving are two great grandchildren:  Wayde and Wrenley; a sister, Barbara Hess, of York, PA; two sisters-in-law:  Helen Raski, of Benton and Mary Hess, of Stillwater and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by the following siblings:  Matthew Raski, Tom Raski, Alfonso Raski, Tony Raski, Florence Sands, Pauline Brewington, Dorothy Biggers and Anna Baker.

Private Funeral  Services will be held at the convenience of the Family at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Benton. Burial will be in the Hamline Cemetery, Benton Township.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Benton United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 244, Benton, PA  17814.
