Amy Bell Obituary

Amy (Ammetta) I. (Bierbach) Bell, 41, of Manheim, passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at her home.

Born in Bloomsburg October 29, 1978, she was a daughter to the late William R. Bierbach and Cheryl B. (Harvey) Bierbach.  She and her husband, Paul L. C. Bell, celebrated seven years of marriage on May 25.

Amy was a 1997 graduate of Columbia-Montour Area VoTech, where she had studied marketing.  She had been a long-time employee of Country Fresh Market in Benton and currently worked at the Manheim Area Water and Sewer Authority.

She was an active member of Milton Grove United Methodist Church.  She was also a member of the Elstonville Sportsman’s Association, Manheim Sertoma Club, and Manheim Hearts-N- Hands Sertoma Club.  Amy loved traveling, cooking, and antiquing and was an avid reader.  Her greatest joy was her family and friends, by whom she will be deeply missed.

Amy had a grateful heart and an appreciation for gifts in action. She found tremendous joy in secretly paying for someone’s meal at her favorite diner or blessing people in other silent ways. She had a laugh that was contagious that will carry on with those that loved her.

Surviving Amy, in addition to her husband and mother, are her siblings:  William R. Bierbach and wife, Amber, of Benton and Robyn L. McClure and husband, Brian, of Fredericksburg, VA; nephews:  William R. Bierbach and William S. McClure; niece:  Amelia R. Bierbach, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to her father, Amy was preceded in death by grandparents:  William R. and Naomi Bierbach and Ammetta Harvey.

Services will be held Saturday, October 10th, 2020 at 11 AM at the Benton United Methodist Church, Main Street, Benton, with Pastor Jamie Pietsch, officiating.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Milton Grove United Methodist Church.  The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., of Benton, is honored to serve Amy’s family.  For online condolences or for additional information, please visit our website:  www.mcmichaelfuneralhome.com
