Anna T. (Timko) Latorra

Anna T. (Timko) Latorra, 95, of rural Shickshinny, entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the Grandview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Danville.

She was born July 23, 1926 in Trenton, New Jersey, a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Slifka) Timko. 

Anna was a graduate of Trenton Central High School in 1943.  She was also a 1947 graduate of the Mercer Hospital School of Nursing in Trenton, New Jersey.  The greater part of her nursing career was at the VA Lyons NJ Hospital until retirement in 1986.

She was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Martha's Church, Stillwater.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 72 years, Pat Latorra in 2017.  She was also preceded in death by siblings:  George, John, Albert, Stephen, Frank and Joseph, and by a sister, Mary.

Surviving are her children:  Elizabeth, Robert, Patrick and David as well as a sister, Elizabeth DeLorenzo.  She also had 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

There will be no calling hours.  A Memorial Mass will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough, New Jersey.
