Anthony S. "Tony" Zaloga, 80, of rural Benton, (Jordan Township, Lycoming County), died early Thursday morning, April 13, 2023 at his home.
Born January 15, 1943 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Anthony and Margaret (Freach) Zaloga. He and his wife, Jacklyn (Russell) Zaloga, would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on April 27th.
Tony was a 1960 graduate of Neshaminy High School in Langhorne and then faithfully served his country in the U. S. Air Force.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers, Local 542 and retired in 2002.
Tony was a member of the Millville American Legion and had also been a member of the Unityville Volunteer Fire Company. He enjoyed hunting and cutting wood.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Jackie, are his two sons: Tony Zaloga and his wife, Sally, of Drums; Brian Zaloga and his wife, Jennifer, of Berwick; four grandchildren: Anthony, Zachary, Ryan and Andrea and a sister, Margaret Wells, of Mt. Pocono.
Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Diana Zaloga.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., Benton.
