Arthur C. "Art" Kling, III, 43, of Fairmount Township, Luzerne County, died Tuesday morning, February 25, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born March 11, 1981 in Phoenixville, Chester County, he was a son of Robin Lee (Moore) Kling, of Spring City, PA and the late Arthur C. Kling, Jr. He and his wife, Deidre L. (Schlichter) Kling, celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary on January 24th.
Art was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown and then attended WTTI (welding school) in Allentown.
He had been employed as a welder for the boilermakers union until poor health forced his retirement.
Art was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, kayaking, motorcycles and cars. He also enjoyed tinkering with electronics and blacksmithing. He also had a love of animals.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Deidre and his mother, Robin, he is survived by a sister, Sadie D'Ercole and her husband, Silvio, of Phoenixville; two brothers: Kyle Kling, of Oregon and Jesse Kling, of Phoenixville as well as nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Robin Schlichter.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 at 3 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (State Route 487) with Pastor Ken Lewis, Benton Christian Church, officiating. A Viewing will be held Sunday from 2 PM until the time of the service at 3 at McMichael's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the S. P. C. A.
