B. Kareen (Horn) Karns, 85, formerly of Benton, died Monday morning, April 24th, 2023 at the Gardens at Orangeville.
Born October 4, 1937 in Benton, she was a daughter of the late Harry Max Horn, who died January 17, 1979 and L. V. (Deitrick) Horn, who died August 6, 2007.
Kareen was a 1955 graduate of Benton High School. She had worked at the Benton Milco for more than 20 years and later for Berwick Offray until her retirement.
She was a member of Stillwater Christian Church and the Benton V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary.
Kareen was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her cats.
Surviving are her son, Timothy C. Karns, of Stillwater; her two Grandchildren: Jeffrey Karns and his wife, Brittany, of Shickshinny and Jennifer Walters, of Danville. Also surviving are ten great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Trent R. Karns on March 7, 2019.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, May 22nd, 2023 at 6 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton, with Pastor Scott Lyons, officiating. Friends and Relatives will be received May 22nd from 5 PM until the time of the Service at 6 at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to help defray her final expenses.
