Barbara A. (Kishbaugh) Evans

Barbara A. (Kishbaugh) Evans, 69, of Sugarloaf Township, died early Sunday morning, February 5th, 2023 at her home.

Born December 7, 1953 in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Harold Robert Kishbaugh and June Elaine (Stout) Kishbaugh.  She and her husband, Edward C. Evans, Sr., would have celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on April 5th.

Barbara was a long time employee of Berwick Industries where she worked for 39 years until her health forced her retirement in 2022. 

She was an active volunteer for the former North Mountain Volunteer Firemen's Carnival for many years.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. 

Surviving, in addition to her husband, Ed, are her children:  Edward C. Evans, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, of Benton; Kelly Murphy and her companion, Sam Valadez, of Berwick; Holly Newhart and her companion, Jason Young, of Bloomsburg;  ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; 2 brothers;   Dwayne Kishbaugh and his wife, Wendy, of New York and Alvin Kishbaugh, Sr., of Florida.

 Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Stacy A. Kishbaugh on December 24, 2021; a sister, Yvonne E. Jett on May 1, 2018; a brother, Michael Kishbaugh in 1990, as well as a brother that was stillborn.

Private Viewing and Funeral Services will be held at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton, with Pastor Scott L. Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating.  Burial will be in the Waller Cemetery, Jackson Township.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the North Mountain Volunteer Fire Company, 991 Elk Grove Road, Benton, PA  17814.
