Becky L. (Stoneham) Green

Becky L. (Stoneham) Green, 81, of Benton, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born January 30, 1944 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, she was a daughter of the late Emerson and Eleanor Louise (Shannon) Stoneham.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. "Bob" Green, on October 7, 1995.

Becky was a 1961 graduate of Benton High School.  She loved being a part of the Red Hats and Card Club.  She loved beach trips with her family and close friends.  Becky was known as a big supporter of the community and Benton High School sports.

For almost 47 years, Becky--also known as "Gram" to most of those in the  community and was the smiling face of the Hoboken Sub Shop in Benton with her delicious homemade desserts, soups and dinners.  She greeted every customer like family.  Her genuine care and infectious spirit made the restaurant more than just a business; it became a gathering place where countless friendships began.  Her family was her greatest joy, and her love for them was endless.

Surviving are her two loving daughters:  Kimberly S. Lamoreaux, of Benton; Holly A. Green, of Benton; a brother, Dan Stoneham, of Benton; Granddaughters:  Ashley (Justin)  Parker, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Chelsea Lamoreaux, of Benton and her beloved grandsons:  Kruz and Kash Parker, as well  as numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, and husband, Bob, Becky was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Wayne Hess; a sister, Patsy Ann, and a sister-in-law, Betty Lou  Stoneham. 

Her legacy lives on in the laughter she shared, the meals she served with love, and the countless lives  that she touched. 

A Visitation will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 4 to 6 PM at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton.  There will be a private graveside service at the Benton Cemetery with Pastor Scott Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Benton Volunteer Fire Company, P. O. Box 252, Benton, PA 17814.
