Carl Larue Charles, 80, of North Centre Township, died Thursday afternoon, April 15th, 2021 at the Sunset Ridge Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Bloomsburg.
Born September 8, 1940 in Berwick, he was a son of the late Curtis Larue and Lena Jane (Welliver) Charles.
Mr. Charles attended Millville High School. He had worked construction during his working career for Kenneth Crowl, Elysburg, retiring in 1992.
His hobbies included motorcycles, snowmobiling and fishing.
Surviving are his three children: Jamie C. Charles, Sr. and his wife, Nancy, of rural Orangeville; Angie Snyder and her husband, Butch, of Bloomsburg; Pastor Robert J. "Bob" Hess and his wife, Christie, of Berwick; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings: Barbara Messersmith, of Elkton, MD; Dennis Charles, of Benton and Kay Schwartz, of Bloomsburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his two wives: Betty Sue (Garrison) Charles in November 1989 and Dora E. (Hess) Charles in December 2020. Also preceding him in death were a son, Bruce Charles; a daughter, Becky Sue Charles; a brother, Rodney Charles and a sister, Judy Charles.
Private graveside services
will be held at the convenience of the Family at the Talmar Cemetery. The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., of Benton
