Carol Ann (Miller) Shaw

Carol Ann (Miller) Shaw, 82, of Shickshinny, died early Wednesday morning, December 7th, 2022 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born October 25, 1940 in Mifflin Township, she was a daughter of the late Junior E. and Inez (Stout) Miller.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence B. Shaw on July 28, 2014.

Carol Ann attended Berwick High School and was later employed by various local factories including Consolidated Cigar Corporation in Berwick, the former Berwick Shirt Company and Milco Industries in Benton.  She was last employed by Decorator Industries until her retirement in 2006.

She was a member of Stillwater Christian Church.  Her hobbies included horse training, camping and traveling.

Surviving are her brother, Robert Miller and his wife, Alice, of Shickshinny and a numerous nieces and nephews. 

Along with her husband, Lawrence, and her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters:  Lorraine Rorick, Lillian Woodworth and Iris Hontz.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, December 13th, 2022  at 2 PM at the New Columbus Cemetery with Pastor Scott Lyons, Stillwater Christian Church, officiating.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Stillwater Christian Church, 39 McMichael Street, Stillwater, PA 17878.
