Carolyn L. Hartman, 91, of Benton, died early Monday morning, November 29, 2021 at the Gardens at Millville.
Born January 20, 1930 in Jackson Township, she was a daughter of the late Herman Hartman, who died May 1, 1989 and Mildred (Sutliff) Hartman, who died August 29, 1977.
Carolyn was a 1948 graduate of Benton High School and was a long time member of the Waller United Methodist Church, where she had served as a trustee. She also had attended the Benton United Methodist Church and was a trustee for the Waller Memorial Hall. She was also a member of the Daughters of American Revolution (DAR).
She had been employed by Milco Industries as a seamstress for 41 years, retiring in January 1992.
Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers: Robert C.Hartman on Dec. 16, 1994; Arthur "Pete" Hartman in 2003; a sister, Viola R. Rudewick on September 16, 2000; a sister, Miriam Bach on June 6, 2002and a special niece, Sharon Lynn on August 3, 2011.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 7th, 2021 at 11 A. M. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton with Pastor Tyler Rauhauser, officiating. Burial will be in the Waller Cemetery, Jackson Township. A Viewing will be held Tuesday, December 7th from 10 AM until the time of the Service at 11:00 at the Funeral Home.
