Chad L. Eckroth

Chad L. Eckroth, 48, of rural Shickshinny, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 23, 2020.

Born July 19, 1972 at the Bloomsburg Hospital, he was a son of Irene J. (Hess) Eckroth, of Benton and the late Roger D. Eckroth, who died December 24, 2002.

Chad attended Northwest Area High School and was a self employed logger in the Benton area.  

He was a social member of the Benton V.F. W. and enjoyed hunting, fishing and metal detecting.  

Surviving, in addition to his mother, Irene, are his two daughters:  Samantha M. Kocher and her husband, Brad, of Orangeville; Sarah H. Eckroth of Stillwater; his girlfriend, Susan Petroski and her son, Hunter, of Benton; two brothers:  Edward L. Eckroth and his wife, Debbie, of Millville; and Ryan R. Eckroth and his wife, Katherine, of Colorado.  Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, December 30th, 2020 at 12 Noon at the Raven Creek Cemetery with Pastor Jason Simpkins of the Stillwater Christian Church, officiating.  The McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., of Benton, is honored to serve the Eckroth family.  In lieu  of flowers, the family will graciously accept contributions to help offset Chad's final expenses.
