Connie L. (Lechleitner) Hayman, 72, of rural Shickshinny (Huntington Township), died early Sunday morning, April 27, 2025 at Geisinger Medical Center. She had been in ill health since November.
Born March 23, 1953 at the Berwick Hospital, she was a daughter of the late James O. and Fern G. (Zimmerman) Lechleitner. She and her husband, Gary L. Hayman, would have celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on July 31st.
Connie was a graduate of Northwest Area High School. She was a nurses aid at the former Bonham Nursing Center in Stillwater and had also driven school bus many years ago.
She was a member of the Town Hill United Methodist Church and was a life member of the Benton V. F. W. Auxiliary.
Connie loved flowers and gardening. She also enjoyed antiquing, shopping, collecting "knick-knacks" and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, Gary, are her three children: Leigh Ann Myers and her husband, Jeff, of Hermitage, PA; Aaron L. Hayman and Tracey, of Shickshinny and Cody J. Hayman and his wife, Stephanie, of Shickshinny; five grandchildren: Jaiden Hayman, Willow Myers, Lily Myers, Liam Hayman and Landon Hayman. She is also survived by a brother, Brian Lechleitner, of Stillwater.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jason, R. Lechleitner, in 2004.
Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the A. S. P. C. A., 1467 Bloom Road, Danville, PA 17821.
